To maintain some level of honor I must submit the following disclosure: The first chapter is about ME! From there, I was not asked or forced by the author to read this book; I have followed his articles for years in journals such as Eastman's. For me, the accounts of his hunting trips are as good if not better than our many years of letters and emails of which, unfortunately for you and fortunalely for me, you will never read! His writings can be compared to a early Jim Shocky before fame and business intervened. Enjoy! You won't be disappointed!

I bought the book because one of the ones it was dedicated to was my husband (meatpacker)and sometimes hunting partner with the author. Once I began reading it I couldn't put it down. I'm not a hunter and some of the terminology is foreign to me but I was captivated by Glen's wonderful sense of humor and his ability to spin a tale. It's a very easy and quick read but well worth it. Ladies it's a great book to give your hunter husband for Christmas and I guarantee you will also find it entertaining. I bought one for each of my children and for my husband's 6 brothers and sisters.
