It has really good and soft voice.
Park Su hi
These strings stretch constantly and one even snapped before it was in tune after maybe 10 hours of use.
Mike
Volume is definitely stronger than my D'Addario composite strings.

I have been using Augustine Blues for years now. Balanced highs, full lows, playability and long lasting. The best.

I remember recording a bit of guitar for a project and then broke a string (they were really old strings). I bought package after package not able to get the same sound again...all these different brands. I couldn't believe how much it mattered...now I will only ever use these. This is what I was using, Augustine blue. Guitarists who listen to my classical recordings sometimes compliment me on my sound and I know I owe it in part to string choice :)

No complaints with string life or tuning, just an amazing sounding reliable string!

If you're looking for the best classical strings money can buy, then look no further than Augustine. The blues are a bit stiff for my liking, but they would be perfect for a Flamenco player or someone who likes to hammer and they sound very crisp & bright. The "reds" are the absolute best string on the planet.... Canada can keep their strings and hang their clothes from them if they wish.:)

They are not soft feeling and have good definition in sound as far as nylon strings go. I used to work in a music store and tried all the nylon string types. Not all are created equal. These are my choice.

Frankly I was disappointed, when I received the strings. Maybe I was a little naive to expect real gut strings for such a low price, but since it says Gut Classical Strings, I expected gut strings (strings actually made from animal intestines) not just the same old Augustine strings made of nylon, I can buy anywhere. I suggest removing the "Gut" part from the name, to avoid misleading other customers.

I have been trying a lot of different string brands lately and I think that I have settled on this brand and set as my personal favorite, but I haven't tried my Savarez 520's yet. I am using an Antonio Arapicio guitar and am very impressed with the tone quality, volume, and pitch sensitivity that the Augustine Blue labels give me. Volume is definitely stronger than my D'Addario composite strings. With regards to pitch sensitivity, I struggled to keep intonation stable as I went higher on the fretboard with the treble strings when using the D'Addario composite strings and the Augustine Golds. Now that I have tried the Augustine Blue Label I think I managed to find that perfect match for my favorite guitar and all of my intonation issues have gone away.

I only have two complaints about the product:

- The G string feels a little dead compared to the other strings (a common issue with nearly all strings in my opinion)
- The D string that was shipped with my second pack of Augustines was cut a way too short which created additional difficulty in stringing the guitar. There was literally nothing left to trim when I was done stringing the D string. My other Augustine Gold strings did not have this problem so I suspect this was a one-time issue.

All in all, I am enjoying these strings. Of course, just because they feel perfect for my guitar doesn't mean they are perfect for all guitars.

I was on a search for "catgut" (a/k/a Bovine intestine -"CATGUT" = Cattle Gut) for a fly tying project. These strings are synthetic. No cattle were harmed. But, my fly pattern called for the natural substance, so No.1 Nephew has these and I'm certain somebody in the dorm needs new acoustic strings (with a lovely provenance)... Just not

CAT GUT as advertised....

These are awesome strings that go very well with my Cordoba C5. They have a really soft and beautiful tone to them. I just replaced my strings with these ones and as soon as I got them in tune and started playing, I fell in love with them. The trebles are sweet and clear as well as the bass strings. I will definitely buy more sets of these but I also want to try other sets. Keep in mind that these Augustine strings or other strings will not match up with every guitar out there. You just have to find the right set that's compatible with your guitar.
