About the Author
Kathleen Rais began collecting Albert Payson Terhune at age six, and began researching him and the Terhune family while in her teens, eventually amassing the first complete collection of his works. She holds a B.A. in Journalism and a Masters in Library Science from Indiana University, and has published many scholarly articles on Albert Payson Terhune. Miss Rais has been a dealer in rare books, specializing in the works of the Terhune family, since 1978.

An absolute necessity for all who love and collect the many books-mainly on dogs-by Terhune. Begins with 16 page biography, and the rest is a detailed bibliography. The author is possibly the leading Terhune scholar and collector.

That rarest of combinations -- a first-rate piece of scholarship that's also a first-rate piece of writing. Everything about Terhune that the fan, collector and discoverer or rediscoverer of his marvelous animals stories and other books needs to know.

This is the only annotated bibliography of Terhune's works extant. Written with love, and interest by Rais, there are only 500 signed copies in existence. If you can find one for under $150.00 jump at it, if you (like me!) are a collector of Terhune's works, in unexpurgated volumes. Pictures of each book, edition history, and all other pertinent information make this an invaluable addition to the collecter of Terhune's works.
