4.0 out of 5 stars Alberta Beauty, February 20, 2009
This review is from: Alberta: Centennial Edition 1905-2005 (Canada Series) (Hardcover)
I was quite impressed with this book. My mother was born in Alberta so there will always be a place in my heart for this Province. I really liked the fact that all the pictures in the book show the vast diversity of this magnificent western Province! There are no mountains that can compare with the mountains in Alberta. I think this book is well worth every picture displayed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Alberta, August 18, 2010
This review is from: Alberta: Centennial Edition 1905-2005 (Canada Series) (Hardcover)
Alberta is an excellent photograph book showing the magnificent natural beauty of towering mountains and vast lakes as well as impressive human creations of buildings and cities throughout its history. I particularly liked the photographs of Maligne Lake with the continuous expanse of tall evergreen trees surrounding the water and the snow-dusted Canadian Rockies in the background (pages 10-11), Banff National Park's Lake Louise with the rugged tree-covered mountainsides (pages 14-15), the vast aqua waters of Moraine Lake and Peyto Lake with the nearby sharp-peaked snow-streaked mountains (pages 16-17), the unique smoothly-sloping Saddledome (pages 24-25), the Prince of Wales Hotel in Waterton Lakes National Park with the yellow-green plain sloping down to the blue water of the lake (pages 42-43), the continuous covering of evergreen trees around Cameron Lake (pages 46-47), the golden wheat plain (pages 52-53), and the people in the light-blue water of the large pool at the West Edmonton Mall (pages 80-81).
