Biography

Gloria Gaynor got her start as a vocalist for a jazz-pop band, Soul Satisfiers in the mid 60s. However it was her music in the 70s and 80s that she would be remembered for. She became a disco diva and gay icon after releasing her biggest hits, "Never Can Say Goodbye" (74), "Let Me Know (I Have A Right)" (80) and "I Am What I Am" (83). "Queen Of Disco" returns in this other 'Greatest Hits' compilation. Along with the Super Hit "I Will Survive" this collection includes other 'made famous' by other artists tracks. Above all, enjoyable album, Gloria's voice is still glorious... divine.
