Know your bands !!,

George Gryak (previous reviewer) - The HHB may not know where West Virginia is (they do !), so it surprises me that you think this band is German. They are Dutch !! Do you know where Germany is ? I have seen this band perform at a party in Oman, and I can tell you ; they are pretty good in moving a crowd. This is music you party to, not just listen to glued to a a chair. I hope you know where Holland is.....

This disk covers some early disco hits of the 70's by a German club band. The disk also includes some karaoke tracks for you to sing along. It's hard to imagine without laughing out loud a German band singing Country Roads (Almost Heaven, West Virginia) without thinking "do they really know where the heck West Virginia is?" Also, to hear them try to do it in a Country Western twang with an accent is a real hoot! I first heard this album on BBC America Top of the Pops show. The only good song on the disk is CARNIVAL MEDLEY, which includes a disco version of Brazil, Carnivale, and I Go To Rio. It is a great bouncy song that is worthy of the stage show at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas's show in the sky! The others are poor imitations of the originals such as I Will Survive and Can't Take My Eyes Off You. I Keep the Carnival medley on repeat play because it is a happy tune. This disk is not worth the import price charged, I'm sorry to say. Wait awhile and you'll be able to pick it up cheaper. You can download CARNIVAL on AudioGalaxy.com already.
