5.0 out of 5 stars Among the best in Brazilian music..., August 30, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Album de Teatro (Audio CD)
C. Buarque & E. Lobo are amongst the best composers Brazil has seen in the last 30 years or so. This album is a compilation of the most wonderful, memorable recordings of their songs by other great names in Brazil, including Gilberto Gil, Ney Matogrosso, Milton Nascimento, and Ivan Lins. Also, the album shows a careful production, from the quality of its musicians to the designing of the album itself.

An album to be listened to carefully by those who enjoy Brazilian music.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must!, November 23, 2000
By
Oto A. Maia (Pretoria South Africa) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Album de Teatro (Audio CD)
This "Album of Theatre" is the result of the collaboration of two of the best contemporary post Bossa Nova composers: Edu Lobo and Chico Buarque de Holanda. The songs are vaguely interrelated like dramatic sketches and illustrate the ability of musicians in Brazil to walk on popular and erudite ground with equal ease. There are some genuine masterpieces in the collection,a must for lovers of Brazilian music!
