The guru of spiritual self-help reinterprets Arthurian legend here with spiritual transformation as the Holy Grail. What follows Deepak Chopra's eight-minute introductory lecture, in which he implores listeners to locate their inner wizards, is basically a staged reading based on his book The Way of the Wizard. This 78-minute tape is pure Hollywood with a perfectly turned-out, thoughtful-looking studio audience in an unnamed tasteful setting watching Martin Sheen as the future King Arthur and Robert Guillaume as Merlin, with Joanna Gleason narrating--all dressed by Donna Karan. Occasionally Chopra breaks in to explain the content in the context of his seven steps of transformation, which take viewers from babylike innocence through "achiever" and "giver" stages, and ultimately, to "pure spirit," in which "you become the wizard."
