Having lived in New Brunswick all of my life I find that Alden Nowlen's poetry is spectacular and the imagery he uses is very well known to me. He has very insightful, but honest and earthy poetry that people who have grown up in the maratimes may especially enjoy. I call him poetry without any pretension.

Excellent selected poems by Alden Nowlan. Insightful, intriguing, thought-provoking and beautiful. I discovered Nowlan in high school and I'm glad I did. I could relate to much of what he wrote.
