The Adventurers and the Temple of Chac is a new and exciting board game unlike any you've played before. From AEG and Dust Games, The Adventurers features a fast-paced thrilling run through the Temple of Chac, the Mayan rain god. This game is very simple, yet fun. You pick up cards which represent treasure. The more treasure, the slower you move. Make it out without dying to the traps, before the boulder closes the exit. The person with the most valuable treasure wins. You can even try to sabotage your opponents at one point, but mostly you just want to stay ahead of them to grab more stuff.

What a fun game. Seriously, my friends and I play this (we're all 30-somethings with no kids) when we're spoilin' for a good board game that doesn't take too long, or we've had a couple of drinks. It's great to have two characters/game pieces, because you always inevitably die once. Rip roarin', history-lootin' good time.

Teeniest complaint - the little molded character game pieces don't come painted, as shown on the box photo. Not a big deal in the slightest as far as game play.

Cheers!

This game is fun and simple, though seemingly complex when you start. After one game, it's very easy to understand and explain. The concept is fun, very Indiana Jones-esque, which was a hit with my friends.
