This is a book for all fantasy lovers. I hope there will be a sequel. I want to see how Alec is going to save his world.

The young man Alec, discovers his father will die unless he gets a particular medicine that is far away in a less than reputable place, and difficult to acquire. He and his father have not got on well over the last several years and it suddenly occurs to Alec that he has not been a very good son. So, against his father's better judgment, Alec undertakes to procure the medicine, and the adventure begins. He meets three sisters who agree to help him with his mission which turns out to be more dangerous than he had planned. These three sisters are more than they seem and Alec comes to realize that he is more than he seems too.

The story kept me going and I couldn't get anything else done unless it came and physically interrupted me. Some of the scenes played across a movie screen in my head. I highly recommend this story and would really like to read more about Alec.

I agree with the other reviews that this is a very good story. I enjoyed it and read it quickly. However, the book appeared to be a draft, not a finished product. It was filled with grammatical problems, typos, misspelled words, extra words in phrases, incomplete phrases, etc. It was almost enough to cause me to stop reading.

Mr. Etzkorn, please get an editor next time. If you had an editor, please fire that person and get someone who understands the English language. I would love to read more about Alec, but only if the grammar is cleaned up.

Alec and the Antlion may start out like your common fantasy novel, but the more you read the less common it gets. With a strong protagonist and a rich supporting cast of characters to aide him on his quest, Alec and the Antlion will keep you hooked from start to finish. It is a bit of a quick read, but the author has left it wide open for a sequel, so hopefully there will be more to come and we will get to read more about Alec and his further adventures.
