This one works very well for securing stones in settings.

It is super glue in every sense of the word - just haven't found it's right for my purposes ... again, the problem is with the non-invisible quality of this product.

After having so much glue come out of the tube, and not being able to glue anything due to the mess, I tossed the glue.

Using this glue was a horrible experience and I do not recommend using it on anything that you really care about. If you want something to look good after you have put you effort and hard earned cash into it, this is not a good product. After researching glues for applying rhinestones and crystals, I headed to the craft store and bought this product. It even came recommended by one of the sales people I talked to. I went home thinking nothing bad could happen as it says for use on metals, glass, stones and beads. And it is supposed to dry clear. HA! I am making my own wedding decor and decided to use this on a beautiful antique brass candleholder that I was applying rhinestone chain and beautful set crystals to. Nothing acrylic here....I paid out the money for real crystal so I could have beautiful sparkle for my special day. I was also making some smaller ornamental filigrees that I decided to put some bling on as well. The vapors from this glue ruined the finish on the rhinestones, I have tried cleaning them several times with no improvement. They are dull and the sparkle is gone, and when I lay the unused rhinestones next to them, there is not a doubt about the change in them. They may as well be plastic. There is also a horrible white residue left from the glue and every single filigree ornament I made is ruined. I have to toss them with the gorgeous set rhinestones and czech glass buttons I applied. All ruined by this glue. This was a huge waste of money, time, and beautiful product, as well as a gorgeous antique. I will never use this junk again on anything.

Glue leaves a white residue.
Maybe I'm not using it right .... ?

I hate to give a 1 star review, but this glue leaves a white caulk-like residue on my glass, metal and jewelry pieces. I have had to 'scratch' several designs after using this .... After completing and mounting a shadow box consisting of glass, metal & stones, the glue left a white residue again. I will not be using it again. It is super glue in every sense of the word - just haven't found it's right for my purposes ... again, the problem is with the non-invisible quality of this product. It leaves white spots on glass, metal and Jewelry. I NEED a glue that dries CLEAR on glass, metal and jewelry. If I'm using it incorrectly, I will gladly remove the 1 STAR rating. I'm wondering why all the great & grand reviews unless
I AM (maybe) not using it right? Who cares anyway, right.

If you're looking to fuse a human being to metal or glass, get this glue.

Make no mistake, this is a cyanoacrylate glue. That means it's in the "Super Glue" family, so it smells like superglue and it hardens like superglue. IT IS VERY STRONG. This is significantly stronger than any tube of traditional superglue you've ever tried. It dries quickly - items were "set" within seconds and it cured within minutes. I'm not kidding here, this stuff is strong. It will grip ANYTHING.

I've seen people upset that It doesn't dry clear. Like all cyanoacrylate glue, it cures to an opaque white. Be aware of this and you won't be upset. This is the best glue I've ever purchased and I'm not just saying that because it was so powerful it scared me into compulsory praise.

I like this cyanoacrylate glue for a few metal purposes. It's a gel-like formulation with a fast bond in a very convenient tube. I haven't had problems with the cap being glued on.
Cyanoacrylate glues are Super Glue style glues. This one works very well for securing stones in settings. I've also used it to bond the slight gap in base metal jump rings for costume jewelry and for attaching half drilled beads (memory wire ends) to memory wire.
The bond is hard, and can be brittle. It's best for small areas.
It doesn't work well to attach sheet metals together and can cause a crazed look on glass. For gluing glass together transparently, I recommend Loctite 233841 2-Gram Tube Super Glue Glass Glue, it's a super glue that dries very clear or something like Silver/ Black Industrial Strength E-6000 Clear Craft And Jewelry Glue (.18 Oz. Tube) which has a longer open working time. For bonding sheets without using heat methods (soldering, brazing, etc) or rivets, E-6000 or 2 part epoxies work best.

I used this to repair a ring (the gemstone had fallen out) and it seems to be holding well. You may want to wear disposable gloves while using this, I accidentally got some glue on my fingernail and the glue stayed there until the nail grew out.

This certainly is one of the strongest glues I have ever used. It bonds just about anything to anything and does so in a heartbeat. So far, nothing that was decently glued has ever come apart again. 5 stars for that.

But...
- Be careful with your fingers. It doesn't take much to glue them together. (been there, done that)
- The glue does not dry clear. It does leave a residue which may look somewhat whitish.
- The tube contains .7 oz. But as often happens with glue...it sticks to the tube and the cap and if you use 10% of a tube before the cap becomes permanently stuck you are lucky.

And so I deducted a star.

Some advise...
- Using the tube itself to put glue on a surface only works with large objects.
- For jewelry and other fine work I suggest you use a toothpick to pick up a tiny amount of glue from the tip of the tube and transfer it to the surface of the object you are working with.
- Put down some paper towels where you use this or you will have glue spots all over the place.

I would love to see this glue in really tiny tubes of .1 oz or less.

Either way, I'll buy this again.
Recommended.
