This CD by Spanish artist Alejandro Sanz, simply titled "3," is a truly outstanding collection of Latin pop. I consider Sanz to be a poet as well as a singer. He is the sole author of all but one of the songs on this CD (he co-wrote the one remaining song, "Quiero morir en tu veneno," with two others). He sings with a distinctively dramatic style; at times it's almost as if he were performing in a Broadway musical. His style on the CD is pop, with rock touches; all the lyrics are in Spanish.

The CD starts out with a particularly bold, dramatic performance on "La fuerza del corazon." This is followed by "Por bandera," which has a fun, bouncy sound. Another highlight of the CD is Sanz's passionate performance on the striking song "Quiero morir en tu veneno." He gives a particularly over-the-top performance on "Lo ves?"; at some points in the song, it sounds like he's going to burst into tears. "Lo ves?" actually appears in two versions, the second being a simple arrangement for piano and voice.

This is a beautiful CD by a performer of tremendous talent and passion. You don't need to understand a word of Spanish to feel the emotion in Sanz's voice. This is an essential addition to any serious collection of contemporary Latin music.

This is it! You want to give this CD to your wife/lover/whatever. Wow!

I'm the proud owner of this cd, and can recommend it to others, disregarding whether they speak spanish or not. Yes, the whole cd is in spanish, but even if you don't understand the language you'll be able to comprehend the feelings it evokes.
I really like this cd, even though the songs make you rather sad... If you can, listen to some of the sample songs, like "La fuerza del corazón". Nothing I can say in behalf of this cd could mean to you as much as actually listening to it. Then you'll understand.

Alex Sanz is a true artist who writes his own lyrics and music. "3" is a great album, a true expression of feelings. Alex is not just a singer songwriter, he's a poet. He writes the most beautiful words you could ever imagine, and listening to them is understanding what love means. The combination of the lyrics and music makes this the best album I have ever heard and I can highly recommend it to everyone who enjoyes good music and great love songs.

Alejandro sanz es para mi,desde q oi su primera cancion, una de las personas q mas saben sobre amor , amar , etc. Su musica me hace sentir bien y al mismo tiempo coincido con algunas de sus canciones , lo unico q el hace es poesia y luego la transforma en musica de tal forma q como q te deja un sabor agradable a vida , a amor . Si Alejandro Sanz ha llegado hasta donde esta , es por la forma en q compone , como decia antes , primero poesia y luego cancion yo creo q es lo maximo q puede haber en la musica.ESCUCHENLO!!!! Este disco sin duda es el mejor cd que ha sacado. Tiene canciones como Lo ves?, Eres mía, Se me olvido todo al verte, quiero morir en tu veneno, la fuerza del corazón, canción sin emoción.... entre otras que son CLASICAS! Si eres fan de Ale es basico que tengas este Cd. Si apenas vas a conocer a Alejandro, compra este cd, con este cd reviviras historias del pasado,y sentiras todas las emociones.
La canción de Lo ves? es una de las canciones favoritas de Alejandro y en todos los conciertos la canta acompañado de su piano.

les recomiendo esos que bueno es escuchar la musica en otro

Sanz toma muy buen camino en este disco, con el cual da esbosos de madurez compositiva. Sus canciones dejan de ser para adolecentes y empiezan a ser para jovenes poco mas vividos y poco mas maduros, ya no es el amor por amor y cuando lo es lo hace tan intenso que eso puede pasarse por alto. Tambien se ve que quiere meterse un poco a la critica soscial con "por bandera" pero es un intento fallido, aunque no se lo toma en serio y lo toma como una cancion mas y no como una postura falasa. Este sigue siendo un disco para adolecentes ansiosas de ver a un chico guapo cantando canciones con melodias bonitas pero en el fondo se puede ver que hay alguen que va para mas.

Alejandro Sanz is a true artist he writes both his lyrics and music. He expresses himself in his music. This cd is probably my favorite because he uses a variety of musics. The hottie sings about love and happiness. 3 has joined my collection of cds. Thanks to Amazon. Alejandro is the best!!
