1.0 out of 5 stars A Romance Junkie, October 22, 2010

I hated this book so much I didn't even want to give it one star. So consider this book over rated. Alexandro is the rich 3rd generation Cuban American hunk of man. I was born in Cuba and my English is perfect, so why does Alejandro end every sentence with the word "no?" ?. Also he keeps calling Abigail "cara" which to any hispanic means "face"? He's a Cuban living in Miami not an Italian living in Rome. He invites Abigail to dinner on his boat and serves "ropa vieja" how lame is that? He lives in Miami where's the lobster?? Hello he's rich. He finally kissed Abigail in chapter 12, this book is about no Cuban man I know or ever heard of, specially one with a lot of money. I have read many many romance novels and this is the first about a Cuban which is kind of cool. The ending was good but getting there was torture. I kept flicking kindle pages at the speed of light. You might have noticed I said nothing about Abigail, there's a good reason for that. She is even more lame then Alejandro. This book is pages and pages of stuff in her stupid head. It goes on and on and nada, she's a bore. This book has no conflict and I hated all of the minor players too. I think the maid and the limo driver were less boring.

2.0 out of 5 stars Boring!, June 16, 2003
By
This review is from: Alejandro's Revenge (Harlequin Presents #2327 Latin Lovers) (Mass Market Paperback)
This book is so terrible, it has every bad point a Harlequin romance can ever have. I only gave it 2 stars for the description of Alejandro. HE, at least, was just an alpha male who knew what he wanted and went after it. It really should be titled, "Abby's a Wimp". Abby has let everyone walk all over her since day one. Her dithering and her lack of self-esteem is so totally annoying, I could hardly finish this book. Unless you want to read about an annoyingly weak woman, who gets manipulated throughout the story and never grows out of her weaknesses, don't bother with this one.

1.0 out of 5 stars Avoiding this author in the future, December 27, 2003
This review is from: Alejandro's Revenge (Harlequin Presents #2327 Latin Lovers) (Mass Market Paperback)
I read this book along with another book of Anne Mather's. They both were terrible. I used to truly enjoy Anne Mather's books and I don't know why but the last 8 or so have been terrible.
