5.0 out of 5 stars better than Anti-Flag November 4, 2002
Format:Audio CD
The Code is a perfect example of a band too good for the label they're on. Not to bash Anti-Flag or anything. AF records is a great label. But this CD is so great. The Code are so good. I bought this album because I heard the title track on the sampler disc with Anti-Flag's Mobilize. Surprisingly, this CD is better than any of Anti-Flag's CDs. Despite how small of a band The Code is fan-wise, I could easily see them signing with a bigger label soon such as Fat Wreck Cords, Epitaph, or Hopeless. But until then, I would definitely recommend this album to anyone who is a fan of real punk music.

4.0 out of 5 stars I great ska-core/punk cd April 18, 2004
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
I would have to agree with lessmxgold. on top of what he said, alot of the songs have a slight ska twist. this really perfects the songs in my opnion becuase it is not too much but it is still there. it is not the BEST PUNK EVER! but it is prutty damn good and I really like the bit of ska they throw in there, it makes it interesting. I would have to say that it compairs with Anti-Flag but there is definatly some Anti-Flag that is better (Die for the Goverment, Underground Network...)
I just saw these guys in concert last night and I had not heard them before. They opened for Against All Authority and Schuicide Machines and I have to say, I think they stole the show!!! Some of the stuff they played was even better than the stuff on this cd and I think they are definatly improving! (I got this cd at the concert for $7, and even if it was more, I don;t have a problem with them being on A-F records. The recording quality is fine and that is all I need (sometimes not even that). I think that it is better that they stay on a small record lable and keep their cds cheap and not sellout!

5.0 out of 5 stars A very good band April 27, 2004
By dustin
Format:Audio CD
I, too was at the concert that the previous viewer mentioned, and agree that the Code did a very good job. I didn't quite think they stole the show because Suicide Machines is my favorite all time band but they were still very good. Ive listened to my friend's copy of the CD and its a really good CD, but they did an awesome job live

5.0 out of 5 stars The Code: Alert, aware, involved = Kick ass August 16, 2004
Format:Audio CD
Great punk/hardcore/ska off A-f records. If you are into bands such as Anti-flag, suicide machines or rise against I would recommend this to you.

4.0 out of 5 stars Never got old March 16, 2012
Format:Audio CD
I lost this CD years ago, but put up with not having it as all my friends had the tracks and they would be on all sorts of mixes we had. Over the years, my tastes have changed and the frequency of punk song listening with my longtime friends has lessened.

What that said, I completely forgot how much I love this band until recently. I am excited to buy this CD again and for anyone who likes the popular ska/punk acts of the late 90's early 2000's, I recommend this CD tenfold!

One of my first live shows was The Code opening for Against all Authority and The Suicide Machines (and I believe The River City Rebels too) in Boston, Mass. It is definitely one of the most memorable shows I've ever been to. I wish they hadn't stopped at three albums, but they should feel accomplished for making the kind of music a guy (or girl) can get excited about 8 years after hearing it for the first time.

If you are reading this guys, thanks for the great tunes!

- Chris

4.0 out of 5 stars just for title track June 11, 2002
Format:Audio CD
ive also only heard the title track from the AF records sampler, but i thought it was very good. Its a mix of ska, punk and a little hardcore i quess. A bit like Op ivy. It sounds very good. Im trying to find some of the cd's other songs- does anyone know where I can get any Mp3's other than at af.com?
