This review is from: A di Alessi Banana Kid Sugar Bowl and Spoon (Kitchen)
My only fear is dropping and chipping it when filling it up, since it's glossy (which you can't see in the pic), which means potentially slippery. It's also a tad smaller than I expected, which is fine since it takes up less counter space. Still holds a fine amount of sugar; I'm not concerned about having to refill more frequently than my last bowl. The best surprise is the spoon: I thought it would be cheap and lightweight, like a disposable spoon almost, but it isn't. It's quite thick and hefty given that it's plastic; feels high quality.
WARNING The spoon is actually bone china, as I learned when it snapped in half while I was cleaning a tiny bit of crusted sugar off of it. I was able to order a replacement from the San Francisco store by phone ($10, agh!). But yes, handle it with care! |
