Beautiful tray,

After looking at a lot of minimalist tray designs I purchased the Alessi Tiffany tray. Alessi partners with designers to produce several lines of tea trays so this is one of the products the brand is known for (for those of you who are discriminatory about your brands!).I use the tray to serve tea for 1-2, and it *just* fits a small teapot, two china teacups and saucers, a small sugar bowl, and a small milk pitcher. It would not fit any more than that. The handles are polished steel and contrast nicely with the matte steel used on the base of the tray. It really is a very nice minimalist and modern functional design. Very easy to clean. I was a little concerned with the possibility of water staining on the tray, but that hasn't been a problem so far. With an all-metal tray I was also concerned about the possibility that the edges on the base could scratch table surfaces, but the product is very well finished and the edges are very smooth. Awesome product! |
