4.0 out of 5 stars Good cook set for a small child and/or smaller kitchen
I just purchased this cook set when I ordered my daughter's kitchen from The Land of Nod (it's exactly the same price at The Land of Nod.) It is definitely on the smaller side of most of the sets I considered, but works very well for my daugher who is only 15 months old and 19 pounds. The scale is also perfect for the Land of Nod kitchen which is also slightly on the...

3.0 out of 5 stars Too thin and flimsy...
I looked EVERYWHERE trying to find a metal cook set for my 3-year old daughter. I was excited to find this one--and VERY disappointed when it arrived. The metal is so thin that if my 18-month old falls on it (as I'm sure he will!) it will dent and bend and go right to the trash can. I would DEFINATELY not buy this brand again.

Do not order this item unless you would like your child's dolls to use it, becaue the cookware is so small that your child will not get much enjoyment from it. It does not even fit my daughter's miniture playfood.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good cook set for a small child and/or smaller kitchen, August 4, 2005

I just purchased this cook set when I ordered my daughter's kitchen from The Land of Nod (it's exactly the same price at The Land of Nod.) It is definitely on the smaller side of most of the sets I considered, but works very well for my daugher who is only 15 months old and 19 pounds. The scale is also perfect for the Land of Nod kitchen which is also slightly on the smaller side. The pots and pans are no more flimsy than any of the other sets I have seen, although my daughter doesn't really play very roughly with her toys. The exception would be the measuring spoons in the set which my daughter pulled apart on the very first day. The spoons are the only piece in the set made of plastic and the ring that holds them together is very thin. Since a couple of the spoons are smaller, they could pose a choking hazard if they become disconnected from the ring. As far as play food is concerned, the size is perfect for the Melissa & Doug "Food Groups" set, but would definitely be too small for sets such as the "Play Food Set" and "Cutting Food Box" which are of a much larger scale. You would need to purchase a larger set of pots and pans if you mostly own the larger scale foods. Overall, this is a good set but only for a younger/smaller child.

This is a wonderful play cookware set. The size is perfect for kids--the little wisk is so cute! My kids spent hours making their own play food and "cooking" it for dinner for the whole family. I would definitely recommend this cook set.

1.0 out of 5 stars not worth the money, December 15, 2004

I recieved this for my daughter for a Christmas present. It is very small and cheap. I know it will not last very long. I would opt for the larger more pricey set from another store.

My twin girls are just loving this set. The big hit is the child size oven mit and hot pad! I can't wait (...), so I can order for the other kids in my family. This set is perfect for little chefs.

My 4 year old daughter received this as a Christmas gift and she loves it. Her velcro vegetables fit into the pot perfectly and she loves the small hot pad and oven mit. My 16 month old even gets into the fun and bangs the pan with the wooden spoon or whisk. A great buy!

My 28 month old daughter just received this for Christmas. She loves it and has been having a great time with it. The pots are on the small side but very sturdy and she is able to put her play food in the pots. She has been having a great time with this and I would recommend it to anyone with a small playset like ours. It has been great for our limited space in our apartment.

Got these pots and pans to go with the KidKraft Retro Red Kitchen. They fit perfectly in the little drawer, are sized somewhat appropriately for the pretend cooktop, and seem durable. The toddler has only had them for a few days now, but I dont necessarily see where they're going to be broken...which is good. The little pot-holders are sized for her tiny hands just right, and she loves having the whisk and wooden spatula. My husband thought we could really cook with these, if thats a testament to the quality. The quantity of pots and pans are perfect - any fewer and it would be lacking, any more and there would be too many. The cheapo plastic food we got her previously fits in the pans nicely, and I think would be suitable for nearly any of the toy food products i've seen on the shelves at the department stores or toystores. Nice quality product.

we love most of this set because it goes well with the kitchen we got and it is the perfect size pieces. However, the spoon broke within a week just from regular play. We've replaced it with another wooden spoon as we love the rest of the set.
