Alex Little Hands, Stamp and Stomp

We love ALL the Alex little hands activities/crafts.
We have about 7 and love them all. Great for something to have on hand when a kiddo gets bored.

My son received these stamps as a gift. While he likes the stamps and they are very cute, the packaging is awful and does not allow for convenient storage of the stamps once you have opened the box. I resorted to putting the stamps and the stamp pad in a plastic zipper bag. I guess the packaging issue is just my problem as a parent who needs to put the toys away and find a place to store them...but my son likes the stamps and enjoyed stamping all over several sheets of paper!

I recently wrote, DINO MANNERS. I sign the books, have bookmarks, but wanted a way to get someone excited the moment the package arrives. I remembered what Robert Shields (artist, performer) would do to his packages - stickers and rubbers stamps everywhere! I took that idea and let my children help me decorate the newsprint and outer envelopes of my books with rubber stamped dinosaurs! They are a hit, my kids love helping, I love the minimal mess and must admit to helping them do it too. It's a lot of fun.

These stamps have a very subtle design. It took a bit to learn not to over ink them. But we drag them through many colors and then easily wash them up to save for the next shipment. They were the perfect answer to give my books the Robert Shields treatment! Thanks folks and thanks, Robert for the ideas.
