I bought this today and my 2.8 year old enjoyed it. We played from 5:30 until 8pm when she got sleepy. I love the simplicity. However, I wish there were more projects. It came with 7 and she has completed 5 of the 7. What I did do was stick the projects to construction paper so there was a nice backdrop. I was very pleasantly surpised with the packaging as I thought I would have a lot of cutting and sorting to do .... every project has its own bag and the pieces are just to be pushed out of the template so there is no need for cuttin. The pieces are very colourful and stickers are also included to enhace the project. Loads of fun ...

I have purchased a couple Alex crafts in the past. The paper plate craft and the tissue paper craft. My son (5yrs) and his cousin (4yrs) were the "crafters".. along with my help :) The paper plate and tissue craft were so easy for the kids to do and so much fun. No frustrations which was nice! But.. with this craft.. not so "frustration free". The glue stick to hold the pop sticks together was a "joke".. sorry.. but true. We ended up pulling out some craft glue.. actually it was elmers "gel" glue to hold the sticks together. I made sure the kids put the crafts aside long enough to let everything dry before touching or else they would just all fall apart. The completed craft is really really cute I will say! I'd say the hardest part was the flower with the multiple sticks layered and the peacock's feathers attached to the back of the peacock. Again, using some sort of craft glue aside from the glue stick enclosed helped a bunch!

Awesome toy for age 3+. Good for gifts. It comes nicely decorated, you just glue the pieces together. My daughter liked putting it together. She felt like she did the whole thing despite it already being colored and designed.
