I bought this parking garage for my 19 month old son. He loves playing with it. It fits all the small cars he has. Putting the item together was not as easy as I thought. It takes a bit of manuevering some of the pieces so they fit in the holes that are pre- drilled. My advice is not to tighten all the screws until the entire garage is assembled. That will give you some wiggle room. The elevator, is by far the hardest piece to put in. It is a tight squeeze. You might also want to glue the ramps. They fall off pretty easily. Overall I am very happy with the garage. It is durable and fun to play with.

My son likes this item. The cars also fit his train set from imaginarium. The only thing I didn't like about putting this together was the elevator. Very tight fit and doesn't like to go up or down easily. But everyone likes playing with it, from the 18 mo old to the 10 year olds.

I was dissapointed in this garage. It was not as durable as I had hoped. My father put it together and glued on the carwash, and gas pump with wood glue. Somehow with very little use they didn't stay on. Within the first month the ramps came off, and the elevator stopped working. I figured my son could be imaginative and would still use it. I put it up in his closet for a few weeks and brought it back down, but the interest just wasn't there. Also to note, it is rather large. It is a pain to store as it takes up so much space. My son seems to prefer to drive his cars all around the house, rather then use a parking garage.
If you are looking for a garage, do not get this one, it is much to expensive for what you receive.

My kids love this garage, but I'm disappointed in the quality. I've been happy with Alex things in the past, but this doesn't live up to it. I need durable, as I have FOUR young children.

We just gave this to my son for his 3rd birthday party. He really adores it. We did not have any of the above mentioned problems regarding fit and finish with this product. It went together easily, although my husband did get confused which poles to screw in at first, but was able to figure it out on his own. No problems with misaligned holes or screws or the elevator being too tight of a fit.

It is very cute and for the price I paid for it at my local TJ Maxx store ($[...]), I thought it was an excellent buy. My only complaint is that the car wash seems to have been missing from the box. I do not really understand how this happened, since everything was shrink wrapped (which would have made it obvious if someone has tampered with the box). So, obviously, this was something overlooked by the employees who packed the box. I will be calling ALEX CS to ask them to send me the missing car wash. Otherwise, it's a very nice toy. We are big on wooden toys in our family and my boys' match box cars and thomas/brio trains all fit perfectly on this toy. We will be putting it alongside their wooden train track as an accessory item.

I agree with the other reviews. This is very hard to put together, especially the elevator. It doesn't clear the second level ramp. I contacted the company and they are sending me a new second level and elevator. So we'll see if a new one works.

We were extremely disappointed with this toy that we bought as a Christmas present for our four year old son. The parking garage came with pre-drilled holes and needed to be assumbled. Unfortunately, due to poor quality, the pieces did not line up correctly and we needed to sand some of them down in order to make the toy functional. It would also have been helpful for the manufacturer to include one or two spare screws in case they got lost or destroyed during assembly.

Santa got this parking garage for my son last Christmas (2009) when he was only 18 months old.

I put it together (not my husband) very quickly (less than 30 minutes!) and very easily.

I did use liquid nails to glue the ramps down, as I saw that being a problem, with them being loose. My son was very young for this toy when he first got it, and was VERY rough with it. He used to CLIMB up it, like a ladder, and it never cracked, creaked or buckled - and I've only had to repair the carwash (with liquid nails) once. That's all! DEFINITELY STURDY!

Now that he is 2 1/2 he LOVES this toy. He drives the included cars up and down the ramp, he flies the helicopter from the airport on his train table, over to the helipad on the parking garage, he adds his matchbox and hotwheels to it. He LOVES it.

I would say that it has MORE than held up under the strain of a very rough little boy. We are very happy with it, and would buy the same one over again and HAVE recommended it to friends.

Also - side note: we moved house with this toy, and lost two of the cards. I emailed Alex, asking if I could purchase replacements. They said "No, we will happily send you replacements at no cost." I provided them with my address and within a week, I had a complete set of replacement cars. You could NOT ask for better customer service from a company than that!

The concept of the toy is great - my son would have loved it but the product isn't made well. One part came broken (would have caused splinters) and in 2 places, the screws and holes didn't line up at all, making it impossible to put together unless I was a carpenter. I will say the company immediately refunded my money, even after the warranty, so I would order from this company again.

We bought this for our 3 year old and he has had a ball with it. We had no problem assembling it and it handles the wear and tear fine. We bought it in 2011 and the quality was just fine. I am not sure why others had problems with quality, but perhaps the company resolved it. The elevator is a real hit, though it took some figuring out and takes some dexterity by the child. The car wash is super cute and the my son is really inter the helicopter too. Over all I would recommend this for years of fun.
