My daughter received this kit as a gift (she is 3 and a half). She really enjoyed making these with me. Everything is included, and each girl (and her parts) are individually bagged, which is good, because you can just make 1 at each sitting. She likes looking at them, and sort of plays with them.

Our daughter received this on her 5th birthday from her sitter. Together they spent the next few days creating all four dress up dolls. It was a fun activity for them that kept them busy for days as they created a doll a day. The dress up girls are sturdy and the pieces that make up the outfit are really cute and well thought out. And because of the quality of the dolls, after the dolls have been created, they can be used as decorations for a girls room - rather than simply discarded as happens with many *crafts*.

From all the very positive reviews, I was ready to love this set. My 3.5-year-old daughter enjoys crafts, and she was excited when she received this set as a present.

On the plus side, the set is very cute, and I like how each doll is separately packaged with its own accessories. On the negative side, the instructions for the assembly of some of the accessories are not clear, such as making a paper flower with a doily, and it's definitely beyond the ability of a preschooler. However, my main complaint is that the pieces don't stick particularly well. It's frustrating to glue something, to have it keep falling off repeatedly. It especially takes away from the playability of the dolls once they're decorated.

We've only worked on the first doll so far. We'll try using stronger glue for the remaining dolls, so hopefully that will solve at least one problem, so my daughter can play with them more easily.
