my 3 yr old twins lost interest as soon as they tried to peel off the paper stickers to attach to their cardboard design. not made well for little hands. by the time they peel it off, it's wrinkled, sticking to their hands,and hard to remove. they got the orb factory mosaic for xmas and I thought it was the same. orb's stick ons are easy to peel and are puffy. great for little hands.

I got this kit because I mistakenly thought it was the same brand as the incredible Orb mosaic kit I got as a gift for my children. I loved the Orb kit because the stickers were foam stickers and the children placed them on a sturdy cardboard mat. My 4 1/2 year old loved the kit and my 2 1/2 year old even was interested in sticking the shapes and colors on the board. However, when I got the Alex kit, I was so disappointed. The stickers were paper stickers (very cheaply made) and the boards on which they place the stickers were just a heavy card stock. The boards got bent easily with use and the sticker sheets also got mangled up pretty quickly. Although the end product looks cute and it does have educational value, I highly recommend the Orb kit instead, especially if you are using it for younger children.

We love the Alex mosaic kits and have used both the "first" one and ones for older kids. They make nice mosaics on a heavy cardboard that can be hung on the wall to decorate your child's room.

I purchased this for my son for Christmas. I had previously purchased one for my daughter by the Orb Factory and thought this would be the same. Boy was I wrong. The Orb Factory "my first mosaic" comes with foam pieces. These are very easy to peal off and place. My daughter could finish a mosaic in one sitting and feel like she accomplished something. This mosaic has paper stickers. They are hard to peal, stick to everything and are hard to line up on the board. My son was so frustrated that I ended up putting it away and ordering the other brand. He was much happier with it.

The kids liked it, but they liked the foam tiles of orb factory mosaics better. It seemed to get boring for them. I bought this for a five year old and a four year old.

The mosaics are just plain, flat stickers. They are also very hard to peel off, even for an adult. My three year found it very difficult to do, so I tried to help her. I was even frustrated trying to peel them off for her. And, when I was lucky enough to peel them, they would often tear. My kids and I prefer The Orb Factory mosaics as the tiles are puffy and fun the feel. They are also much easier to peel off. The end result is a lot better.

This craft toy gave my granddaughter hours of fun with her mother and both enjoyed it immensely. My granddaughter could indulge her imagination and love of vibrant colors. She will be 3 years old in March.

Sticky mosaics make a perfect age appropriate gift. I have bought the Orb factory products in the past, first experience with Alex products. Hope it will be equally good. Will soon buy more as you don't commonly see them in toy stores but any child whom I ever gifted this product, loves them. Each item is different though as rarely the stick ons fall off if glue is not enough, then you need to glue them back on, but only occassionally.

I got these for a trip and really liked how they are individually packaged and thin. Perfect to throw in a bag and not take up a lot of space. My 4-yr old really enjoyed doing these. My 8-yr old nephew even had fun.

I purchased this mosaic craft kit for about $6 at a discount store, and even at that price found it disappointing. The stickers are paper, not foam, and quite difficult for little hands to remove from backing. They also cannot be repositioned. My 3 1/2 year old loves Lauri Peel and Stick Jr. and Orb Factory First Mosaics, but quickly lost interest in this product. On a 3-hour flight, she applied maybe two dozen stickers before losing interest and taking a nap. She specifically requested that I not include one of these in her activity bag for our return flight.

One thing that I did like was that each project in this kit was packaged in its own bag, making it ideal for travel. I just wish it made use of repositional foam stickers as other brands do.
