We're not sure if the paint spoiled. Can finger paint go bad? Anyway, it smelled awful! I could catch the odor across my kitchen. My son was extremely disappointed when we had to throw the paints in the garbage. I just wasn't sure if they were safe. I contacted the company but no response.

Paint? By what definition?,

The product says "Finger Paint" on the box, but I would hardly consider what is in the containers to be paint. Its a weird gelatinous solid... not a liquid paint. And it smells odd too. Not at all easy to "paint" with. I hope the store takes it back.

I am a mother of twin 2yr olds and this is my second attempt with finger paints. The consistancy of these paints is like jello, and not the pudding!! I tried to stir them very well to get to something that they could use to paint with, but I couldn't even get it to remotely spread. The Crayola paints we used before will have to do since I can't imagine how anyone could use these. I would not recommend this product.

Smells Like Rotten Eggs,
= Durability:1.0 out of 5 stars = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars = Educational:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Alex Toys Little Hands, Washable Finger Paints (Toy)
We just brought these paints out after after being stored for a few months and they smell like rotten eggs. The odor is so strong that we have to throw them away - after only using them 2 other times. The colors are nice and vibrant, the consistency is good, and the containers they come in are easy open and close but it really doesn't matter if you can't use them due to the odor. This product is a disappointment. It does not come with any information as to the ingredients, or storage instructions (although I'm sure a closet inside a house should work fine). I think I'll stick to homemade paints now.

This "paint" is completely useless. The consistency is like lumpy jello. It doesn't stay on fingers or paintbrushes, and the smell is not pleasant. Plus, it has 5 or 6 preservatives, all parabens, which are not healthy for the skin or the environment. Why would anyone make chunky, chemical-laden paint for children? Terrible product.

Worst smell I have ever encountered. It's a large container, you think there would be SOME sort of shelf life, but no. Goes 'bad' very quickly and the smell makes the paint unusable. Not that the paint was good to start with, it looks bright and vibrant in the jar but goes on white finger paint paper almost clear! Not exaggerating. Don't waste you cash here.

Paint didn't show up on paper. Consistency was too goopy, almost like jello. difficult to get enough on finger to paint with. Returned product and was fully refunded. Dissapointed because really like alex products

Bought as a gift - she loved them and bought more. Definitely an outside fun thing to do, or lay down some kind of floor cover so the carpet does not get ruined -- you know how kids can get.

These finger paints are loaded with parabens. Many scientific studies say that they are not healthy. Whether or not they are linked to cancer, do you really want to take the chance that they might do so? I would recommend staying away from this product.
