Alexa will appeal to fans of Heart, Vixen, Lita Ford, Erika and Lee Aaron. Well written polished radio friendly songs with the excellent musicianship of the Paul Sabu band to back her up. Paul Sabu worked with acts such as Shania Twain, Only Child and Little America.

This CD was recommended to me by someone who's opinion I trust. So I was expecting it to be listenable, but I was truly unprepared for the voice that blasted out of my speakers. To say Alexa sounds like Joe Cocker is doing her a disservice. Let me put it this way. She has more power than Ronnie James Dio. I'm not kidding. She has the most potent voice I've EVER heard come out of a woman. And I've heard a lot. Her voice IS the featured attraction here but the songs fit her to a tee. The musicians are rock solid throughout with superb keyboard licks that are always placed perfectly by Tommy Rude. Nice melodic pyrotechnics by guitarist Paul Sabu and excellent rhythm work by bassist Murrill Maglio and drummer Charles Esposito. The songs are well crafted radio friendly tunes along the lines and inventiveness of groups like Journey and Foreigner. If you like your rock hard and driving, but with finesse, I highly recommend this CD to you. Oh, and did I say you won't believe her voice?
