I bought this doll for my 4 year old daughter because she has dark brown hair and blue eyes and that combo is a bit tough to find with other dolls. The doll's face and hair were even more beautiful in person than the picture. Her body was good quality construction and the clothing was cute. I give this doll a 4 star rating because she doesn't sit up on her own very well. I think it's the way the joints are made on the doll. She wants to lean back instead of sitting upright. If she is in a chair or sitting against something, she sits perfectly though. She stands without any support and her limbs and head are a true 360 rotation including up/down, around and side to side. Her eyes open and close and she has nice long lashes. The hair is gorgeous but it tangles really easily and is a little hard to comb out. I found that spraying with downy wrinkle releaser helped it quite a bit though. All in all, a good price for a beautiful doll.

I bought this doll for my granddaughter and she absolutely loved it. And Grandma didn't have to spend $200+ for a doll that looked like her. I was a big hit for her birthday, and I will be buying these dolls for all my granddaughters, all 3 of them.

My daughters wanted another doll for Chanukah this year, and I didn't want to buy into the American Doll craze - mainly because they are just so expensive and it's such a racket with all of the clothes, etc. My daughter loves this doll, and was just as happy with it as she would have been with an American Girl doll.

I bought this doll instead of the American Girl Doll because of value for your money and durability for a 9 year to play with.
She is really into dolls and get lots of pleasure out of this doll.

This was a great alternative to the much more expensive dolls. My 10 year old daughter has just as much fun with it as she would one that cost way more. It seems to be of good quality. She loves it.

Hindsight is 20/20. I should not have bought this for my 3 (almost 4) year old. The doll is lovely, but the hair is very easy to mess up. A child of this age is just not old enough for a doll like this one. I would recommend buying a cheaper more durable doll for younger children and waiting for a child to be at least 6 (maybe 8 depending on maturity and level of carefulness) for a doll like this one.

I purchased this doll for my grand daughter for her birthday. She loves the doll, and has fun changing her outfits. The doll's hair tangles easily, but she is a good mommy, and uses the dolly brush. Her mom uses the wrinkle release and that has helped keep the hair neat. Styling the doll's hair is part of the fun! My other grand daughters have the American Girl Dolls, but I think this doll is just as beautiful and well made. I purchase the AG clothing for the other grand daughters, but am able to purchase many more "outfits" for this dolly, because they are not so expensive. I will purchase another Madame Alexander doll so that there will be another friend. It is just difficult to decide which one! I gave this doll a five stars in education, because I think it is a very important part of development to have this kind of imaginative play.

This doll was perfect for my 4 year granddaughter! She just loves it. The favorite friends collection from Madame Alexander dolls is perfect choice for her. It is durable, posable, and can be taken anywhere. The hair is very lifelike and well attached. She has a cute face and fun expression. This doll will also fit all the 18" doll fashions. You can buy the on sale fashions and use them on the doll or get the patterns and make them yourself. We did both and it all worked. This doll was and is the perfect companion for girls I would say 3 and up. When we received the doll, we liked it so much we bought another from this collection for my 2 year old granddaughter.

I bought 3 of the Madame Alexandra dolls for 3 of my granddaughters. I was very pleased with each (they were different models). They are very pretty and seem like they would hold up well to play. I am also happy that I can buy great outfits for the dolls for my granddaughters' birthdays, solving the problem of what to get!

I, purchased this doll for my Granddaughter, who is totally in Love with it, I have started a collection of Madame Alexander Dolls for her, so she gets one on Birthdays, Christmas, or when I want to treat her, which is all of the time!!
