5.0 out of 5 stars A must for any fan!, March 14, 2006
This review is from: Alexander Souvenir Program (Paperback)
For me, Oliver Stone's ALEXANDER is a work of art! I've been obsessed by the quality of his attention to detail in backgrounds, sets, costuming, story, and everything about it!

I can't imagine that it wasn't received with greater fanfare, excitement, and appreciation. Or, that it didn't win many awards. What an oversight! Every history teacher ought to be using in their classrooms the scene where Alexander tames Bucephalus. DVD's enable teachers to isolate significant portions of the film. The scene is valid; gives an insight into his parents, and definitely sets the tone for the courageous, fearless Alexander he would become. The scene brings Ancient History to life! The souvenir book enables me to know more about the significant people in the film, stars, producers, etc. From it, I learned the name of Robin Lane Fox and purchased his book. I'm so glad Lane's text and this souvenir book are still available.
