a real Latin commedy,

In the style of the better French and Italian commedies, 'Alexandre, the Happy One' is the story of a lazy French farmer who finds himself oppressed by aggressive and controlling women. When his first wife dies,the victim of a car accident he feels that he is free at last able to pursue his relationship with his imagined soulmate. Alas, Alexandre is not so lucky. Brilliantly portrayed by that wonderful comic actor, Philip Noiret it will provide simple amusement. The first French movie that I ever saw at age 14 it began my subsequent passion with french and italian cinema. May others be so fortunate!
