4.0 out of 5 stars A Delightful Read, August 25, 2011
This review is from: Alexis and the Arizona Escapade (Camp Club Girls) (Paperback)
Alexis Howell, a member of the famous Camp Club Girls - famous for solving mysteries - is visiting Lake Havasu with her grandmother, Professor Molly Windsor.

They are staying at the London Bridge Resort. In the lobby is a replica of the coach commissioned by King Henry III for his coronation. Her friend Elizabeth has just arrived with her family to celebrate the London Bridge Day Festival and the bass fishing tournament. Something is wrong with the bridge, there is a large crack approximately 8' long extending out of the water. This has really gotten the Mayor worried. Is the bridge falling down (remembers the old nursery rhyme) - is there a curse on the bridge as some claim - will he have to cancel the parade?

As Alexis and Elizabeth go about the city they overhear someone talking about stealing the coach. Professor Windsor and Dr. Edwards are scheduled to ride in the coach in the parade. This is a mystery for the Camp Club Girls. They will expose those planning to steal the coach and deliberately sabotaging the bridge. They are surprised to learn that Dr. Edwards is behind the plot. He believes there is a valuable letter hidden somewhere in the coach.

Will Alexis and Elizabeth save the day - expose Dr. Edwards - find the letter - and solve the mystery surrounding the bridge?

A delightful read. The book is a work of fiction - a product of the author's imagination - but the London Bridge is indeed located in Lake Havasu City.

Highly recommended.
