5.0 out of 5 stars Loved this book! Great Meanings - An awesome message, September 16, 2009
By
This review is from: Alexis and Ralph the Dragon (Paperback)
Alexis and Ralph the Dragon is a well written story for children that really is essential for children to learn at an impressionable age. It has a good message and that message is be true to yourself, love yourself for who you are and you will always find people that love you and find you to be a worthwhile friend. I took other valuable meanings from this book as well. This book has special meaning to me as I too can recall my childhood similiar to this story; somewhat anyways. Even if your not as different as Ralph the Dragon, finding that special "first Good friend or first love" and keeping them is most likely an unintentional underlining message here as well full of merit. (and they lived happily ever after). Certainly something to strive for! For me, my best friends are the ones I've known and loved all my life. They can be trusted. I give this a 10 out of 10 because it is well written for children, is entertaining, and most importantly carries a terrific message not normally seen in so many other children books. The illustrations also were exceptionally rich and almost 3D. Bravo.

5.0 out of 5 stars I Love RALPH!!, June 29, 2009
By
This review is from: Alexis and Ralph the Dragon (Paperback)
This is the cutest childrens book I've read in a long time. It was brought to my summer camp group by one of the campers, and I read it to the group during our 'reading time'. Ralph is not only adorable, but teaches that everyone is different, and everyone can get along, a great lesson for young children to learn! The writing makes it a fun read for adults, and the illustrations are so vibrant and colorful, both kids and adults will love it. Ralph is sure to be a hit with young readers, and I for one will be making sure he is on the bookshelves of all my friends with "little ones".

My granddaughter picked out this book at the bookstore. The eye catching illustrations are wonderful for children. The book sends a great message to adults and children alike, just because someone is different than us they can become fantastic allies and friends. This book has fast become a very favorite with my granddaughter. Very well done!
