Detectives and Dinosaurs!, March 27, 2010
This review is from: Alexis and the Sacramento Surprise (Camp Club Girls) (Paperback)
If you have an 8 to 12 year old girl in your life who loves a good mystery, then you're going to want to pick up the Camp Club Girls series. Bringing Nancy Drew into the 21st Century, this series is great for those girls who have outgrown Junie B. Jones and the Magic Tree House series but aren't quite ready for YA.
I enjoyed the fact that the girls each have a unique talent that helps them solve the mystery, that it encourages girls to enjoy the special way God made them.

A Super Surprise in Sacramento!, March 27, 2010
This review is from: Alexis and the Sacramento Surprise (Camp Club Girls) (Paperback)
Erica Rodgers brings us book 4 in the Camp Club Girls series, and I think I just love them more and more with each new book! These wonderful authors have truly created a wonderful and Godly set of books for young girls today!
Book 4 brings us to Sacramento and Alexis' mystery. A story packed full, yet again, with lots of adventure, mystery, friendship, and trusting in and relying on God. There are wonderful lessons that are expressed through out the pages of the book, and is perfect for book lovin' girls! Geared toward girls ranging from 8-14, this was still an enjoyable read for me and I think I love them as much as any girl would.
Again, this book would be wonderful as a stand alone book, but is best read following the 24 book series order. This would make a wonderful Easter gift (as would books 1-3 also!). This 5 star book in the Camp Club Girls detective series is truly wonderful and highly recommend! I'm anxiously awaiting the release of book 5, Kate's Philadelphia Frenzy, and book 6, Bailey's Peoria Problem in May!

Mystery, Mayhem, Dinosaurs?, March 25, 2010
This review is from: Alexis and the Sacramento Surprise (Camp Club Girls) (Paperback)
In the fourth Camp Club Girls Book, we catch up with Alexis and Kate. Kate has come to visit Alexis. The girls decide they want to help a local park stay open. Little do they know their volunteer work will lead them into a grand dinosaur mystery.
Mysterious footprints, moving dinosaurs, creepy media, and good friends... this book has the makings of a fun read for kids ages 9-12. I enjoyed this interesting mystery and know Munchkin will enjoy reading it. Once again, I like that the girls faith comes to play in realistic ways throughout the story.
I received a copy of this book from Barbour Publishing, Inc. in exchange for an honest review.
