2.0 out of 5 stars WiFi Booster antenna, January 10, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Alfa 9dBi WiFi Booster SMA OMNI-Directional High-Gain Screw-On Swivel Antenna for Hawking - HWP54G, HWR54G and HWBA54G (Electronics)
The antennas look good b ut I was unable to test them. The ends did not fit the router that I wanted to install them on and the replacements seemed to be the same size. Even though I described the connector and specifically identified the router, no joy. I gave up.

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay purchase...., June 19, 2011

First off got the wrong item delivered, but replacements came very quickly. The installation was simple, but the range is not quite what I expected. Guess they would be better in a straight line of sight setting, but in a building even with just a few walls, the distance is reduced more than I would have expected...works though if you are close.

Running speedtest.net to check data transfer speeds, there is only a slight speed gain using this booster antenna over the stock antenna supplied with my Hawking range extender. It works fine, it's as simple as unscrewing the stock antenna and screwing this unit on, but at least at the distance I am from the wireless router, I'm not sure it's worth the cost.
