I was a little worried this product would not work, but it did. It can't get much easier to install than this! One thing you should know. If you are in a very "busy" wireless environment, then a booster will amplify the interference your ap will see. It works both ways.

This powered signal booster is fantastic. We've gone from barely able to get a WiFi signal in the family room and nothing in the bedroom wing to 3 bars (max on iPhone) everywhere including out in the shop 200 ft from the house.

This is a great product, as long as you have a standard RP-SMA connector on your device it screws right on and you plug in the adapter and you are done. I used two of these on two Class 1 Bluetooth adapters, my actual gain worked out to 16db (minimum) and my calculation showed I was at the advertised 800mw level. USE TWO if at all possible, gains where minimal (but still had gains) using one. During my testing I put one of the adapters in a double wall metal tool chest with no openings facing toward the other adapter... link was still strong! At 75' through walls, refrigerator and with a Wi-Fi Access point running inbetween I covered the receiver with a metal pot, and it still worked! Very affordable and it works great! For industrial folks, this is way cool the only pain is the 5-6VDC power supply, it would have been nicer for me if it took 24VDC.

I picked up a 4db gain, however, throughput dropped by .4mbps.
I bought two and tested using 1, both, the existing tiny router antennas as well as a 4' outdoor 15db high gain antenna.
In all configurations the result was approximately the same.

Used inSSIDer 2.0 on Windows 7 to monitor db levels and speedtest dot net to check transfer speeds.

This thing does NOTHING for my signal. Just plug in a plastic tube and it will have the same effect: ZERO.
