I love my new Alfi Albergo Carafe. Nice quality, liter size works well, and the tea filter is great. We have been amazed that it holds the heat as long as twelve hours on occasion. Great product.

The carafe has a plastic insert with a strong smell. There was no instruction how to pull it out (instructions were very general, incomplete and written in not very good English). I did not get any response from the factory, so I did not have a choice and had to return it. Also, for this price the outside of the top should have been plated better.

I love this carafe. It looks great and keeps our coffee hot for a decent period. I liked the one handed pour feature. Unfortunately, the pour spout, which is built into the lid, stopped working properly. I haven't been able to reach the company to know if there is a replacement lid for it. I would never want any other carafe if I could just get a replacement lid. I can't see buying a whole new carafe just for the lid.

Easy to handle.

Not wishing to spend hundreds of dollars on other Alfie products, I chose this one. The vessel is gorgeous and really does keep liquids very hot for a very long time. I've not tried it with cold liquids. I use mine for coffee service, so I removed the tea diffuser. I would recommend this product. The only negative I can find is that it doesn't hold the capacity I was expecting for the size. 8 cups? Also, unless I'm doing something wrong, it's not 100% sealed. Leaks ever so slightly from top when inverted. My original Alfi didn't do that. Still, it's a great product for the price.

My Mom asked for one of these to replace some $200 carafe she had broken that came from William Sonoma. The one from William Sonoma seemed grossly overpriced to me so I bought this one based on reviews from others. My Mom liked it even better than her old one! I bought one for myself at the same time and enjoyed serving tea to guests in it. It's not too big to be too heavy but it holds enough tea for 4-6 people. Perfect.
