One of the best in the series.....,

With kids not reading as much as the should, a series like The Three Investiators is one way to make them WANT to read more.
I remember reading all of the books in this series several times each, and even making a "Two Investigators" card for me and my best friend in 6th grade. This book, in particular, encapsulates what made the series great: well-written characters and a plot that is exciting yet plausible, but that still gives some clues for you to figure out. Along with "The Secret of Terror Castle", this book is one of my two favorites in the series. If you want to sample the series, start with one of these and you'll be HOOKED (and so will your kids). |
