This book is definitely not for beginners. I am playing Alfred's Basic Adult Level 3 book already and yet I still have some difficulties in some of the pieces, however most of the other songs are relatively simple, with the left hand usually having one note per beat like "We wish you a merry christmas". One song, "We three kings.."has mostly triad notes for the left hand but it is very basic. Some other are combination of both and with some arpeggio pattern(broken notes) for the left hand.

This is a great Christmas songbook for intermediate piano players. The arrangements are beautifully done. I end up sounding much more accomplished than I really am! With just a little practice, you will easily be able to play these favorite Christmas songs for the holidays.

I got this book after about seven months of piano lessons, using Alfred's Basic Adult Piano Course. A few of the songs are pretty simple, yet still complicated enough to be interesting to the listener. There are some doozies as well, to give you something to aspire to :)

All the arrangements are competent, and some are truly awesome, especially O Holy Night. All in all a great book to have for a family Christmas gathering.

I certainly recommend it if you've finished the Alfred's First Year adult book.

I love this book although I'm a level 1 but it's too easy for me so bought level 2 and I'm working on "We wish you a merry Christmas" and it's very challenging I Concord the treble cleff and I concord the bass cleff I just haven't been able to put them together but I'll just practice it more

Very easy duets (both parts are easy). So if there are two of you who both play at the grade II level, together you can make pretty decent music for Christmas. I'm just guessing at the grade. I'm in Alfred's all-in-one level II for adults and it seems about the same.
