I don't know if the other two reviewers ordered the wrong item or Neptune pulled a fast one when the discs crossed the equator, but this CD (ISBN 0-7390-1752-7) is in fact the one that corresponds to Book 1 of Alfred's Basic Adult Piano Course. CD2 is also available from amazon and is ISBN 0-7390-1943-0. The CD's themselves are nothing special, just what they proport to be, piano and accompnyment for the lessons in each of the books.

This title is very deceptive as I thought it was for the first lesson book, but it is actually for the second stage of the series. Now I have the first book and no CD to go with it, and the second CD but no book to go with that! Find the book with the CD attached and buy it somewhere else.

I agree.. this CD is not for the level one book. Even I am stuck with a level one book and a level two CD.
Be careful all those who intend to buy it to go with the Level One Book.

The CD coordinates with Alfred's adult piano book level 2. It is helpful particular for those self taught with this CD, but be aware the music was mixed with other instruments not just was played by piano.

My children and I really enjoy this. Without the CD, we wouldn't have made as much progress through the book.

I bought Alfred's Basic Piano book from a local music store. A few days later I sat down to begin my lessons, only to discover I was missing something. The book instructed me to listen and play with the CD. What CD? Was there a CD that was suppose to come with this book? I went online to Amazon to order the CD. Great delivery and service. I must say that since I have the CD, things are different.

This CD is for Level 1 book, not level 1 all-in-one book. But most songs are same. And it's midi.

I don't understand why the makers of so good an intro to piano book would 1) sell the CD to accompany the book separately and 2) include a CD with awful sounding Muzak instead of real piano sound. This is insulting to anyone trying to teach themselves piano. For me, it helps greatly to hear the melody a few times on CD before I play, but I dread putting this CD into my stereo for fear that my neighbors will hear the world's worst Muzak!
