My granddaughter turned me on to piano and uses this book. She's about one book ahead of me. I highly recommend this resource for lesson material. It will help get you up to speed faster than others. Rather than teaching you scales by rote, this source just has you playing them. And it gets you into using both hands faster than I ever expected. Alfred's is the ONLY way to go.

The green books are the level that my son is in right now, so he was delighted when I ordered the Christmas book. Playing the familiar songs made piano really fun for him -- really ignited a renewed interest in piano for him.
