These flashcards are the most basic element of my toolkit as a piano teacher. No matter which lesson book my students are using, these cards supplement their learning and increase their music literacy. By recognizing the written notes and immediately knowing the corresponding key, their ability to read a new piece of music is enhanced, in the same way that we learn to read and sound out our letters before learning to read words. Over time, you no longer stop to sound out each word but can simply read it off the page. The same process occurs with note-reading and soon the process of figuring out which note it is, figuring out which key goes with it, then playing becomes as fluent as reading letters off a page.
I recommend the John W. Schaum series of piano method books, but when a student has had prior lessons with a different teacher, we just continue in whichever books they've already purchased. These cards allow us to fill in any gaps in their learning in these situations.
There is a measurable increase in fluency and speed of reading when these cards are used as part of the basic regimen both in lessons and during their at-home practice time.

These are an excellent tool to learn notes! My daughters piano teacher was very impressed with my daughters improvement in reading notes after just one week.

Ordered these because my son's piano teacher said we needed them. Very helpful in learning the musical notes. Great learning tool for piano students.

I enjoy the flashcards and have been putting them to use, the only thing I was disappointed on was that the seller took over a week to even ship them out to me. Still a good product though.

My daughter is a beginnner and these are great when I want to randomly give her a quick quiz. Highly recommend these flashcards.

It doesn't matter if you're learning to play the piano, trumpet, flute, or saxaphone. These flashcards are wonderful tools for learning musical notes, symbols, etc. I always dreaded sitting to the piano and going through the flashcards, but I was very grateful for the knowledge when I started band and was able to skip the beginning part that taught all that and could move on to just learning to play the instrument. The flashcards truly help build a base of musical knowledge.
