I've been teaching math for 10 years and tutoring longer. Twice I've been awarded teacher of the year and I've been very involved in determining the accreditation of other high schools. I've seen a lot of algebra texts. This is the best text book from which I have ever taught. It gives excellent explanation for the student and the ancillary materials available to the teacher are great. It's a total winner. No complaints. I believe in this book so much that I just purchased a class set, with my own funds, for my son's private school.

This books provides your student with detailed examples to properly complete the problems listed in the book. I recommend this book for anyone who wants to learn Algebra 1.

The complete process was good, book arrived in great condition in timely manner, but I did not pay attention during purchase process and this turned to be only volume 1. In order to get complete curriculum you would need volume 2 also. Other sellers had this as comeplete book ( including volume1 and volume 2 in same book).

I'm an adult re-learning what teens are expected to know. While not a naturally math-savvy person, this book is easy to read and learn. I'm quickly gaining the knowledge I wish I had learned in high school. I check in with a tutor periodically, but mostly am re-teaching myself from the book. My tutor recommended this book.

I bought this book from Amazon Marketplace for my 10-year-old son who wants to teach himself basic algebra. This book serves the purpose well. It explains the concepts clearly and thoroughly. With lots of examples and exercises, this book is great for self study.

Algebra is algebra. This book is as clear and well written as any. My only complaint would be that it's heavy to carry around! However, a paperback this size would be flimsy and even more difficult, so the hard cover is really better.

. . . and I don't say this because I can't do algebra. This book, unlike the algebra books I used when I was at Haverford, seems like it was written by a committee -- a committee of government-sanctioned idiots.

Stay away from these highly-processed, politically-correct texts. It's no wonder the nation's kids are getting dumbed down with text books like these.

This was a good real for a used book. It had very few writing in it for being used. It was in very good condition.It took about 2 to 3 days for the book to arrive, it was very quick. I recommend this, I would trust having this company..i mean buying from this book salescompany again. I needed this book for a math placement test fo highschool and it really helped me because , now im in geometry in 9th grade.

The book that I ordered was a used book, and it was in good condition. The condition of the book was what the seller described. I recieved it earlier than it was promised.
