5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT WAY TO LEARN ALGEBRA !!!, July 4, 2005
This review is from: Algebra Programmed: Part 2 (Pt.2) (Paperback)
I never did well in Algebra in H S; never understood it. Took an "F" my first attempt at "Intermediate Algebra" -- And then my husband suggested a set of self-paced books that he had used in college, "Algebra--Programmed". There are three books in the set. It's a very unique way to learn algebra, but very easy to make sense of the eventual complex problems. I'd recommend them to anyone who struggles with algebra. :) kim

5.0 out of 5 stars LEARN THROUGH REPETITION, September 15, 2009
This review is from: Algebra Programmed: Part 2 (Pt.2) (Paperback)
I am in my 50's, and just took a college algebra course for work. I passed it by the skin of my teeth. I stumbled accross this book at my local Thrift store and bought it. A couple of years later I pulled it off the shelf and started working through the book from page 1. This book has thousands of problems that build your algebra skills in a stair-step manner. VERY easy to follow and it filled in many of the holes where I was unsure. College Algebra textbooks are horrible, they don't explain anything in plain language. This book is a pleasure to use, and you have positive reinforcement as you see yourself getting problem-after-problem correct. I believe there is a part 3 from this author, and I will try to get a copy. I think this would also be an excellent book if you have a H.S. or college student in your family who is having problems with Algebra.
