i used this book in middle school when i was learning algebra for the first time. My teacher didn't exactly teach us, so i don't know what it's like paired with a good math teacher. by itself, it's ok, but the explanations get confusing sometimes and sometimes they make a lot of hype over little details that aren't as necessary as they make it look.
