After sitting in Trig class for a month and gleaning little from the professor I ordered and patiently awaited this DVD in hopes that it would help in clearing up topics from Algebra taken over ten years ago. With a full time job and a full time course load there was little time to fit in a traditional tutor and I didn't want to think about the expense.
I am very pleased that I ordered the course in addition to the Trig and Pre-Calc tutor falling under the same series. In just an hour of viewing this DVD I understood concepts that neither my professor nor textbook adequately explained to a point where I would gain a level of clarity and confidence.

I am certain that I will be using this as well as the other titles in the series with a great degree of regularity as I make my way through this course as well as the remaining math courses left in my program.

My only gripe with the DVD are the audio glitches that come and go throughout the program, not many but enough to notice but not enough to stop using the program. Others may not have noticed them but I did because I played the DVD on a home theater system.
Even with that glitch I genuinely appreciate the clarity of the program and the ability of the teacher. I even e-mailed the provider with a question and he responded quickly and with a real e-mail not an auto response. That's almost unheard of and coupled with the solid value of the program has certainly won me as a definite endorser of the Math Tutor DVD program(s).
No one cares about your education more than you do. Be your own advocate to learning. This is one of many ways to ensure that you learn the necessary material as well as build skills that you'll need in later courses.

This is an excellent product, far superior to the better known "Standard Deviants" line of tutorials.

This has straight forward lectures and examples on Algebra, geared for the serious student learning for the first time, or adults looking for a review. Menus allow you to jump forward to those parts in which you need the most help.

If you cringe at the inane banter in competitor's presentations, and want a tutorial with a high signal to noise ratio, this is a good choice for you.

I hope the producers decide to release more subjects.

If you want to refresh you memory of Algebra II topics OR introduce a student to Algebra II this DVD is very easy to follow, and does an excellent job of teaching its topics. I'm using it to teach students the Algebra II topics for the SAT (for students that have never had Algebra II). It's likely to be too basic for someone that has to deal with a rigorous Algebra II course or an Honor's Algebra II course. The teacher is very likeable and easy to listen to.

The teacher in this video is really good. I think I learned more in a few hours of this DVD then in the whole semester in class. My grades went up almost over night!

This instructor is really good. 2 thumbs up! I also have the Math Video Tutor and the Trig and Pre-Calculus Tutor and they are all very good instructional videos.

I hadn't had math since I graduated from highschool more than 20 years ago, and I was probably the worst math student in my entire school. My horrible experience with math was the main reason why I never attended college. Well, now I'm on my way to become a nurse and the pre-reqs include a LOT of math. Before I took the math placement test to get into college, I ordered this DVD and the Math Video Tutor (Basic Math) by the same author. For the first time in my life, I actually GOT IT! These DVDs totally erased my decades-long fear of math and I actually had FUN solving the problems. But the big test came when I took the placement test. I scored high enough to get into the class I needed, and I am an A student while a lot of my class mates struggle. Remember, I hadn't had math in over 20 years and SUCKED at it back then. I keep on raving about these DVDs and I hope whoever struggles with math like I did will give these a try.

I have to agree with the majority on this DVD set. Far better than the first Algebra Math Tutor DVD (10 hours of material on a single DVD didn't cut it for me). The audio/video isn't perfect, but it really gets the job done. Trust me, I'm in the Navy, stationed overseas, work full days and some weekends, have a family and a life outside the office and at my age of 33, it has been years since I've been to high school and I stunk at Math (particularly Algebra). Now I'm relying on distance education to earn a college diploma and its been really hard to grasp college-level Algebra. This DVD has taught me a lot about Algebra that I otherwise would have paid a small fortune to a private tutor so I can learn and earn 3 semester hours. Well worth the money and it doesn't have all that colorful, yet distracting fluff that the Standard Devieants have on their videos.

My daughter was having difficulty understanding her High School Alegbra II lessons. I purchased this DVD after reading reviews on Amazon. She seemed to have understood this teacher. I only wished that we found it sooner. This is what she wrote. "I liked how the teacher explained things and made it easier to learn. My only complaint is that it didn't have enough algebra lessons in it."

This DVD set is just great for someone who has been away from algebra for a while and would like a quick review. For kids just learning algebra I think the set will almost guarantee a "A" provided one does the work.

The instructor is excellent and goes through the stuff step by step. I also like the fact that this set does not have any patronizing gimmicks but is a straight forward presentation with example after example.

I wish my teacher, back in 1958, had this instructor's teaching style when I was first introduced to algebra in Seventh Standard (British system). Excellent product.

A parent brought this product for me to help students in an after school program. I though the program was ok and to the point. There is six hours of math on this DVD. I will buy some of his products for myself soon.
