1.0 out of 5 stars Stay away from this one!, September 6, 2008
This review is from: Algiers (1938) (DVD)
Stay away from this one! In order to produce a false wide-screen aspect ratio, this 4:3 film has been stretched to 16:9. It looks ugly and should be unacceptable to any serious viewer. The only improvement over the previously-released DVD is in the audio. This 1938 classic badly needs attention by Criterion or Kino or some other reputable company.
