Grade 3-6 - These books cover the same material that is found in a dozen others. The texts are written mainly in the past tense, with little information on the modern lives of the nations, and have some oversimplification. Web sites can be accessed through FactHound. Algonquin has the most appropriate sites for the age group, including one that teaches the language. Black-and-white and color illustrations include current and historical photos and reproductions of paintings and drawings.
