Oliver Shanti is one of my favorite artists. I have all of his CD's which I bought in Germany. Unfortunately most of his music is only known in Europe and Asia. Check out the website SATTVA.com his record company they sell all of his CD's and shipping is not expensive but well worth it! The music doesn't fit any category in fact Oliver Shanti has created a new musical style that I call Ethnic Fusion. It sounds pop, jazz, rock and authentic musical instruments from all around the world with beautiful male & female vocals!!! Don't hestitate check out this great music today!

I found Oliver Shanti by accident in the Napster days. His music is so beautiful, energetic, and spiritual. It seems he's a german gypsy, born in Hamburg. I don't even know how much of this music is his or how much he just gathers people to perform, but it is mind-boggling music. Too bad all that's available here is an over-priced import. He deserves wider exposure.

I highly recommend this CD, especially if you like the Buddha Bar series of CDs. I discovered Oliver Shanti on one of those CDs, in fact, and just had to hear more. ... The music is a relaxing yet energetic mixture of oriental, Middle Eastern, Latin, and classical European sounds. Very difficult to describe. There are samples on the sattva website.
