After having pain related to plantar fasciitis for almost 8 months, I was surprised that this splint was more effective after two weeks of use than anything else I tried. It was comfortable and easy to wear and I only got more pain relief the more I used it. The company was helpful as well. I had a problem with one of the velcro straps coming off and after one contact, they resolved the situation immediately. Although comfortable, it does take some getting used to but if you have heal pain I recommend trying this. It more than pays for itself, especially with all the high priced methods I tried that didn't work.

I purchased this product for my husband who has plantar fascitis. The orthopedist recommended a soft splint to wear at night. It took about ten days for him to get used to it, and to adjust it properly (not too tight and not too loose), but once the learning curve was over he has noticed significant pain relief. In the beginning, during his learning curve, he would wake up with complete numbness (too tight) in his foot and some cramping. So if you are planning to purchase a soft splint, be prepared to give yourself a short span of time to get used to it.

In regards to the product itself, it is sturdy and well made, and is also extremely lightweight.

The soft night splint S.S.I Soft Night Splint for Plantar Fasciitis-Large M(11.5+)W(11.5+) does the job for which it was designed! Truely the best thing for getting over achilles heal tendenitis and plantar fasciitis. Try it, you will be glad you did.

I have the terrible habit of pointing my feet forward when I sleep and then my plantar fasciitis flares up - numb, tingling feeling in both heels. So I was hopeful this "Soft Night Splint" would be the perfect thing to wear while sleeping.
The problem is, it doesn't work. Unless you are as weak as a butterfly, it's still very easy to point your feet forward after wearing the splints because the straps aren't rigid. That defeats the entire purpose.
The splint doesn't breathe and is also very hot with or without wearing socks. The base of the straps are too close to your toes so when you start to point your toes, the straps crush your toes and they become numb after a while.
A soft splint is a nice idea but this one simply doesn't work. Try a rigid splint.

I ordered this soft-sided splint to see if it would help my p.f. It didn't. It was very uncomfortable across the toes & back of the leg, to the point I couldn't wear it all night, even after I tried loosening it. It also seemed to loosen with tension during the night, so that it wouldn't hold my foot at the proper angle.

Reluctantly, I ordered a solid-frame night splint from another company. It was much more comfortable & worked better. I got good results with it, with much improvement in my heel pain. My opinion: stay away from this soft splint.

I was hoping for something that would provide real resistance to extending my foot into the position that is bad for resting with Platar Fasciitis. This product is too elastic and too poorly designed to provide any real support. Just relaxing my foot overcomes the device and extends my foot. I need effort to keep my foot in the correct position and the device barely helps.
