5.0 out of 5 stars This is an awesome cd!, October 8, 2007

This review is from: Alibis & Ammunition (Audio CD)
After waiting for EVER to finally get a copy of this long awaited cd..I fianlly did... and I am glad..it was worth the wait. Of course I had to get it right after I heard that they decided to disband, which is sad. I would have loved to see them live.
Acey is awesome..his singing is great. I am a huge murderdolls fan too, and was happy to see him return to the music scene. Now we can only hope that it won't be much longer till he returns again!!
I've had alot of friends listen to it and have taken it to work with me on numerous occasions... people tend to love it as soon as they hear it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Acey Slade returns to glam and punk, August 12, 2007
This review is from: Alibis & Ammunition (Audio CD)
Acey Slade got his break playing bass and guitar for the hard rock band Dope, later joined the gothic rock band the Murderdolls, and has now returned to familiar styles of old - glam and punk. Years ago, Slade was the front man and guitarist for the glam band Vampire Love Dolls, and is back at the helm once again. While the Murderdolls are on indefinite hiatus and members are pursuing other projects, Slade reconnects in Philadelphia with friend and bassist Roger Segal. With drummer Len Thomas and guitarist Steve Haley, Trashlight Vision is formed.

Like many bands battling to gain recognition and a steady fan base, the band released two EPs and worked out of their rehearsal location called the "Trashcan." With their EP success, they soon went on to record their debut album - Alibis & Ammunition. This album consists of twelve gritty, dirty, and catchy songs. The vocals are arguably glam and punk for the most part, while the guitars are basically rock n' roll. This combination of style makes for fun sounds, so nod your head, scream along, and get out a pick for your air guitar.

2.0 out of 5 stars Um, I don't think so, July 12, 2008

First off and most importantly I must mention the vocals. They suck. Bad. That aside the music is good. Straight up hard rock with punk tendencies. Unfortunately, what good is that when your front-man is a weak singer? Acey Slade was fine when he was in Dope (whos first two albums were good), but there was a reason he didnt sing in that band. SO I hate to diss this album, but I believe there is a reason they are not around anymore. They are just nothing to write home about. Period. If you want some good straight up rock, check out Wednesday 13's stuff or the Supersuckers.
