This review is from: Alibis in Arkansas: Death on a Deadline/Drop Dead Diva/Down Home and Deadly(Sleuthing Sisters Mystery Omnibus) (Heartsong Presents Mysteries) (Paperback)
Very cozy, clean, well-written who-dun-its. I enjoyed the stories, the characters and the way the mysteries kept me guessing until the end. Plenty of action and I enjoyed watching the characters evolve in each story. Great read! Three stand alone books/stories in one book! Great value for the money!

I love Christine Lynxwiler books. I have read everything she has written. I've never read a Christian mystery before and I do say I liked all three stories in this book. They were cute with some mystery to go along with it but they kept me wanting to read more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining and fun., March 18, 2010

This review is from: Alibis in Arkansas: Death on a Deadline/Drop Dead Diva/Down Home and Deadly(Sleuthing Sisters Mystery Omnibus) (Heartsong Presents Mysteries) (Paperback)
I like this writer and her stories are very enjoyable to read. I like the characters in books and this is why I read them. I don't go for overt drama or scary or frightening books, that is not what I look for. I like the settings, the people in the book and these two sisters get better in each book. I do think the main sleuth is a bit nosy and if I met her in real life, I would avoid her questions like the plague but that is the premise of the book so her character traits make it possible to sleuth. My one drawback is that she seems to jump to conclusions a bit too much, all of the time. I like the everyday lives of these two sisters and their values and character traits. They are your next door neighbor fun friends and the books are a delight.

The mysteries are pretty good too. My favorite story was the "Down Home and Deadly" but all three are good.
