This DVD features live performances from the original Alice Cooper BAND in a television studio. Unfortunately there is no live audience to interact with, just cameras. So that dynamic is missing. This band was good at getting a reaction from live audiences. The original band is Glen Buxton-guitar, Michael Bruce-organ-guitar-vocals, Neal Smith-20 piece drum kit, Dennis Dunaway-bass and vocals and Alice on lead vocals. This is the band that Alice rose to notoriety with. If you have the Prime Cuts video you've seen this version of 18 already although this version has the complete song in it with a dramatic organ intro from Mike Bruce at the beginning. The Under My Wheels song is a different version than the one on Prime Cuts and has Alice with the old Spider eyes make up. One can see how Alice and Bob Ezrin felt the band was limited musically, primarily because of Glen. He tended to doodle on leads. This is why on the albums Ezrin brought Rick Derringer to play on Under My Wheels and Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter on later albums. Live, Glen was left on his own until he could no longer function onstage. Glen did start to develop more and the School's Out period was his peak of musical accomplishment and Public Aninal # 9 rocks with dynamic changes and creative use of guitar feedback. After the School's Out period, Glen began to fall. The band added Mick Mashbir on guitar and Bob Dolin on keys to the live show and really advanced musically although they still kept Glen. This band was really young when they made it. Would have been nice to see how they could have matured like Aerosmith did. This appears to be all there is of the original band. The Good To See You Again Alice Cooper movie of the Billion Dollar Babies show, the largest rock and roll show and tour in the history of rock n' roll at this point was botched by the film crew. The lighting was very poor and does not give an accurate view of the band and the stage. It's too dark. An ABC In Concert performance of the School's Out show is also no where to be found except on horrible bootleg copies. This video is a history lesson if nothing else. The original band was one of the coolest bands I've ever seen. Mike, Neal, Dennis were always unique and capable musicians who really knew how to put James Bond type theme music into rock n' roll and within a certain range Glen was good. No drummer can play Halo Of Flies or Billion Dollar Babies like Neal Smith. When Alice performs the old songs with new musicians, it always seems so sterile and antiseptic, something is missing for me. Alice should do a reunion album and tour with Mike, Neal, Dennis, maybe Mick Mashbir or other good guitar player and a keyboard player and Bob Ezrin. Public Animal # 9 rocks the best on this DVD. It kicks. ***NOTE*** This DVD has only 3 songs on it: 18, Under My Wheels and Public Animal # 9.***

I, and now my son, are huge Alice Cooper fans. We have all the albums/CD's, DVD's, shirts, etc., as well as attend a show each year of his concert tour. I think he's great about only doing high quality projects and always giving the fans their money's worth. That's why I can't believe I'm giving one of his products only 2 stars.

From the description on Amazon as well as the other reviews posted here, I didn't fully realize that this DVD had Alice performing only 3 songs. The whole rest of the DVD has nothing to do with him. The quality of those three tracks is high and its a great look at the band's earlier days, but that's all there is. This is not an expensive DVD and I guess I'm glad I have it, but it is not represented accurately. How can this be marketed as an Alice Cooper DVD when he makes up less than maybe 20% of the content. I was disappointed.

If you don't already have them, his Prime Cuts and Nightmare DVD's are a blast. Hardcore fans may want this DVD also, but be forewarned about how little Alice you'll be getting for the $'s.

the performance of Public Animal #9 includes great pictures from Glen Buxton on stage in good condition, so this DVD is worth to by just for that song.

I'am Eighteen and Under my wheels (the other two songs on this EP DVD-Version)are also great, but not as good as Public Animal #9.
The sound and picture quality is very, very good!
All three songs were recorded live without overdubbs, so what you get is an authentic document from the early days of the best Rock Band ever.

This DVD is a must-buy for every fan of the original Alice Cooper Band! You will enjoy it!

Vintage Alice in 3 classic performances taken from German television performances. under my wheels (1971), i'm eighteen (1972) and public animal #9 (1971). The quality of the DVD is way better than exspected and is offered in 5.1 or dts surround. The performances are great , even though Alice sometimes is too drunk to stand up. Alice will always be one of the greatest rock stars that ever lived and deservers more credit than given. Buy this now!

This EP is Pre-Welcome to My Nightmare Alice. It features the original band. I thought it was great to see this rarely seen performance. The quality of the product is very good.
A great addition to any Alice Cooper hard core fan's library.

I gave it three stars because this pricey little DVD has only 3 videos on it. I know for a FACT that the Alice Cooper had more performances from the show these clips were taken from and to release a DVD with only 3 of the songs is rediculous. At least put 5 or 6. It isn't worth the money unless you find it for $5 or less.

I will say though that the QUAILTY is OUTSTANDING and CRYSTAL CLEAR.
The SOUND is FANTASTIC and offered in a 5.1 or DTS.

Please release more vids next time and we'll be satisfied.

The performances were poorly filmed, antique German studio moments from when it sure looked like Cooper was still drinking; at one point during 'I'm Eighteen' he could barely keep his eyes open and it was either a '72 or '73 performance. The "pop up trivia" is pretty much what's on the back of the case plus a few easy factoids. Totally disappointing, unlike his half of the Gruesome Twosome tour when I saw him in Billings, MT last month. Rob Zombie was substandard as a singer, had put together a digital backdrop that had me worried about epileptics in the crowd, and only sang half his own lyrics, while Alice blasted out onstage for 'School's Out' and made driving home the next day (five hours with a BLIZZARD in the rearview mirror) totally worth it.
